Healthy Families Family Support Worker – Full Time
Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Bilingual Preferred

About the Role
The Greater Fall River Healthy Families program is seeking a compassionate Family Support Worker to work with first-time parents—both pregnant and parenting—to promote healthy births, strong parent-child relationships, and nurturing home environments. Your work will help prevent child abuse and neglect, foster early childhood development, and connect families with resources that build long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

What You’ll Do

• Provide regular home visits and supportive services to parents, meeting them where they are—literally and emotionally.

• Build strong, respectful relationships with families, celebrating their unique cultures and strengths.

• Support parents in setting goals, accessing resources, and developing positive parenting skills.

• Assess family needs, connect them with healthcare, housing, childcare, education, and job training programs.

• Facilitate or participate in parent/child groups and community outreach events.

• Maintain detailed documentation and follow program policies.

• Stay current on training, participate in team meetings, and uphold Massachusetts child protection laws.

Your Background & Strengths

• Associate’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience/high school diploma).

• Experience supporting first-time parents or working with culturally diverse communities.

• Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, and strength-based approaches.

• Strong communication, listening, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for events.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.

• Bilingual skills highly preferred.
