Schedule Monday-Friday

Pay $72,800.00 - 79,040 Annually -PLUS INCENTIVE

(This is an hourly position/ Based on a 40 hour week)

The Early Intervention Program is looking for Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), to work in a supportive multi-disciplinary team environment, while providing services to children ages birth to 3 years with developmental delays, and to their families/caregivers and provides assessment and therapy in the child’s natural environment within a family centered, community based program. Attend parent meetings, community case conferences, transitional activities or relevant activities that may include providing insight, information, referrals or advocacy for child and family. Provide training and ongoing supervision and support of students and supporting staff.

SUMMARY: The role of the Speech/Language Pathologist is to work in partnership and enable an eligible child and the child’s family/caregivers to receive the rights, procedural safeguards, and services that are authorized to be provided under the State’s Early Intervention system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Determine Early Intervention services in collaboration with families using the Individualized Family Service Plan.
  • Perform home visits, screening, assessment and educational group activities in the natural environments while adhering to all Massachusetts Department of Public Health Early Intervention Operational Standards.
  • Attend parent meetings, community case conferences, transitional activities or relevant activities that may include providing insight, information, referrals or advocacy for child and family.
  • Maintain and update all clinical records in Early Intervention Client System.
  • Provide co-treatment capacity consultation to other members of the team in matters requiring discipline expertise.
  • Prepare for certification as an Early Intervention Specialist within three years of employment.
  • Maintain expertise in the Early Childhood Education field through attendance at meetings, in-service training, continuing education or other appropriate educational programs.
  • Provide supervision to students and speech and language pathologist assistants as needed.
  • Maintain assigned productivity level on a monthly basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or division director.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and required training sessions, including in-service training, as scheduled.
  • Maintain all program and Agency required trainings.

QUALIFICATION

  • Knowledge obtained through attainment of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution as determined by the Operational Standards.
  • Licensure by the MA Board of Registration in Speech Language Pathology required.
  • Ability to maintain, on file, a current copy of all required professional licenses, CPR, first aide and health records.
  • Experience with feeding, autism and social communication disorders preferred.
  • Knowledge and skill obtained through at least two years of experience in human services.
  • Skill in communicating and working both independently and within a team.
  • A qualifying criminal background check, driving record and a valid driver’s license
