$95,000.00 + Benefit Package.

First Shift-no nights and weekends except during on-call rotation

On-Call Rotation 1/6 weeks/ Triage calls only virtually or via zoom- not in person

SUMMARY: People, Incorporated is seeking a creative and forward-thinking professional with demonstrated accomplishments to serve as the Director of Nursing. The Director of Nursing is responsible for the coordination, case management and oversight of health services for individuals within the Agency’s 24 hour, Residential Program as regulated by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) while ensuring and safeguarding individuals’ human rights, dignity and liberties. Provides supervision and leadership to Nursing Department Case Managers and MAP Training Coordinator, as well as oversight of program staff and individual healthcare trainings; including Medication Administration Program (MAP) training and

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current unrestricted licensure in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse (RN), with a minimum of a Bachelor’s of Science Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent, masters preferred.
  • 3+ year experience as Registered Nurse
  • 3+ years’ experience in supervisory role
  • 2-5 years’ experience with DPH Medication Administration Program (MAP) and population served, preferred
  • MAP Trainer certification through Department of Developmental Services/DPH, preferred.
  • Skill in consulting with medical professionals and advising others on medical and/or health-related issues.
  • Skill in building, motivating, and leading teams.
  • Ability to maintain reliable transportation and travel to local areas to include but not limited to: Fall River, Somerset, Swansea, Westport, Taunton, and Mansfield.
  • Ability to conduct Medication Administration Program training sessions, as needed.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret medical documents, professional journals, technical procedures and/or operational regulations.
  • Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively.
  • A qualifying criminal background check, driving record and a valid driver’s license required.
